When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar... and the coffee...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, " I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things-your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions-things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else-the small stuff."

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

after reading that it helped me get my mind in order to do what i gotta do. that being said, dont expect much updates anymore. i will when i can but i gotta get myself together first. peace

Writing out the plans for this film im trying to shoot. The shit is gonna be some shit that you havent really seen from me thus far. I guess you can call it a “musical.” Its totally independent of course. Im trying to use music from artists that i know personally and who ive developed a working relationship with. The actors/actresses are gonna be some homies and ladies that i know from around the way. Everything is just a idea right now honestly but once i can get everybody together we gonna start shooting hopefully around Christmas break. No idea when its gonna be finished though. Hell i dont even have a name for it yet lol. Stay tuned though…

I came across this video on twitter earlier and the shit is great. I dont know Levi Maestro but i feel like i do when i see him talk. He feels the same way i do when it comes to filmmaking and photography. He talks about people not knowing who he was and how he put himself out there without fear or anything. Thats EXACTLY what i have been doing since i got a camera back in '08. I've made a small name in my area just by showing up at events and just bombing that shit. Ive stayed up all night editing shit just to put it out there for people to see and know that "Dre Eastwood did this." It doesnt feel like work to me. I never get tired of it really. Me and my homies have done work for other people for free. Ive made maybe $250 off of the work that i have done this past year. That doesnt bother me at all though. If i can get my creativity out there and people accept it and it somehow inspires somebody else to do something then thats all that matters to me. At this point its all about getting better at what i do. 2011 is gonna be a good year for me and my team. I cant wait to get started and put out some dope shit for whoever wants to see it. I picked up these today. I'm not a HUGE fan or foamposites but these were a must cop for me. The overall quality of the shoe is nice compared to what Nike has recently put out. I do wish the Pearl White was "whiter" and the sole didnt have that blue tint to it. Other than that I'm satisfied.

I already know that all you know who Maestro is and what he does. I dont usually post other peoples stuff on here but i felt like this was alright to post. In the video from 1:08-11:45, Maestro explains me to a T. People always ask me if im in school or why I wont go to school for photography. What he says is EXACTLY how i feel. I used to take pictures with a cell phone lol. From there i went to my sister's point and shoot and sneaking to use my dad's SLRs. I finally got my money right and bought a D40 and the rest is history. I think ive come a long way in what im doing and its only gonna get better. I dont think i have even scratched the surface. I dont want to go to school to "learn" a certain formula or whatever for photography. Im just gonna keep Snappin N' Trappin and hope I can bring something that people will embrace and really appreciate.
